I…teach…?

As a well established awful student I never imagined I’d be anywhere near education after finally leaving the sacred halls of higher education, but here I am in the year of our lord 2026 teaching people to schedule. I always feel like people think scheduling means setting appointments for folks to get their teeth cleaned or meet with their physical therapist so I just can’t help myself but to explain I schedule construction activities that have been thoroughly planned.

I don’t just schedule though, I actually rarely do that now, I teach! This year I’ve put on two classes so far with a third coming up next week and I like to have a class toward the end of the yea. Four classes in a year is double my usual year, that’s crazy.

It isn’t a super complex class that I teach. I actually feel like it’s pretty simple, but maybe that’s just my experience as the teacher? Sometimes I wonder if physics professors feel like their subject matter is a bit boring, not to equate construction scheduling with advanced physics or anything. It’s just that I go over something like creating calendars in P6 and have to tell the class how complicated and tricky it is, while really feeling like it’s almost pedestrian. Do physics teachers ever feel like the atomic weight of a quark is just too simple to teach?
